What we build

2 products today. Both are live, and both are run by us.

How we work

The same team specifies, builds, ships and supports every product here. There is nobody to hand a hard problem to, and no incentive to ship something we would not use ourselves.

That shapes what gets made. A product has to earn its place before it is started: a job worth doing, people who would notice if it stopped, and a reason it should exist as software rather than as a spreadsheet somebody already has.

• Focus over volume. We would rather run two products properly than list eight and answer support for none of them.
• Shipping is the start of the work, not the end of it. A product that stops being maintained stops being a product.
• The price on the page is the price, and cancelling is as easy as subscribing. No retention maze, no offer you only see on the way out.
• We say what a product will not do. Overselling buys one signup and loses the person who tries it.
• No tracking on this site. It sets no cookie, loads no analytics and sends no telemetry, and the Privacy Policy says so in writing.

What we will not build

There are categories we stay out of. It is easier to say so here than to be asked, and it rules out a good share of what gets pitched to us.

• Gambling and betting, or anything else whose business model needs somebody to lose.
• Products designed to be addictive, where time spent is the metric and the person using it is the inventory.
• Anything that works by deceiving the people using it. That includes fake scarcity, invented urgency and engagement bait.
• Surveillance, data brokerage, and selling personal information to anyone at any price.
